Battle of Britain Day Memorial Service

198 Squadron Hinckley Air Cadets are organising a memorial service to mark Battle of Britain Day on Sunday 13th September at the Hinckley War Memorial, starting at just after 10.45 am until around 11.30 am. The event is open to members of the public and will be attended by the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, the Mayor of Hinckley, members of the Royal British Legion and other former ex services personnel plus representatives from Hinckley's Emergency services. There will be an opportunity for all attending to lay wreaths or other floral tributes to those that served during this important period of the Second World War. This year also marks the 85th Anniversary of the forming of 198 Squadron Hinckley Air Training Corp .
