It was reported that an 18-year-old was assaulted.
Police are appealing for witnesses to a reported assault near the Vitality Stadium where AFC Bournemouth were playing Leicester City.
The altercation is reported to have happened at around 7.30pm on Tuesday 27 February 2024 in Kings Park, near to the Vitality Stadium
Officers attended and it was reported that a man had assaulted an 18-year-old man from Leicestershire. He sustained facial injuries including losing a tooth as a result of the alleged assault.
Following enquiries, a 36-year-old man from Leicestershire was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has been released on police bail as further enquiries are conducted.
Police Constable Sam Robinson, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this reported assault and I would like to hear from any football fans, or anyone else who was in the area, who witnessed what happened.”
