Knitters can donate their creations until mid-September.
Knitters across Europe have helped local volunteer Diane Clarke collect over 2,000 knitted poppies.
These will create a special Remembrance display at Glenfield's Secret Garden.
Donations have been received from the UK as well as France and Switzerland.
Knitters can donate their creations until mid-September. Only red poppies are needed now as enough in purple and white have already been received for the planned display.
Diane said: "We have been overwhelmed by the support of so many people and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has contributed so far."
Surplus knitted poppies will be sold across the hospitals with funds raised shared equally between the Royal British Legion and Secret Garden project.
