It happened near St George's Way.
Police have closed the road is closed at both ends.
Warwickshire Police said,
"Report received at 12.10pm of a digger hitting a gas main in St George’s way. There is a road block on by Hello Fresh and at the other end of the road. Local businesses have been ordered to evacuate."
Network Rail temporarily stopped trains at Bermuda Station due to the incident, although they are now up and running.
