A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and failing a roadside breath test.
Loughborough Police arrested two men on suspicion of robbery on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers from the force’s Roads Policing Unit were on mobile patrol in the area of Ashby Road, Loughborough, at around 2.45 pm when they requested for a black Astra car to stop.
The car was reported to have initially stopped but it was then driven off at speed.
Police followed the car until it was abandoned nearby, in the area of Barnsdale Close, and the two people inside reportedly ran from the vehicle.
At the same time, a robbery was reported and officers suspected that the vehicle was linked to the report.
After a foot chase in the area of Barnsdale Close, two men were arrested.
A 33-year-old man, of Loughborough, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and failing to stop.

The investigation remains ongoing by Loughborough CID and both men have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
