35-year-old David Gallagher died following the collision on Sunday.
A 35-year-old man who died following a collision on Sunday (15 October) in Leicester Road, Whitwick, has been named.
Officers were called at 7.20pm to a report of a collision involving three vehicles, a red Kia Cee’d, a grey Volkswagen Polo and a black BMW 118.
The driver of the Kia, David Gallagher of Whitwick, sustained fatal injuries. No one else was injured.
The Kia was travelling on Leicester Road, towards Whitwick, when it was in collision with the Volkswagen Polo, which was travelling in the opposite direction, towards Copt Oak.
The BMW was also traveling towards Copt Oak and collided with debris in the road.
Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw the vehicles immediately prior to the collision, or the collision itself.
