Robbery in Nuneaton

A member of staff at a Nuneaton off licence has been reportedly assaulted.

It happened on Friday night around 9.25pm, three men entered the shop on Bull Street.

It's believed they assaulted a member of staff and threatened another, before leaving the premises with a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol.

They also caused significant damage to the shop.

The member of staff sustained bruising.

It’s not believed any weapons were used.

Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the offence.

Firefighters are tackling the blaze and although there’s currently no danger to the public, the fire is causing quite a lot of black smoke so they advise those in the vicinity to keep their windows and doors closed.
