Police want people with dashcam footage to contact them.
A fatal collision happened on the A5 in Hinckley this morning (Sunday 14 September).
A report was received just after 5.40 am this morning that a pedestrian had been involved in a collision with a HGV, just past Dodwells roundabout on the A5.
The pedestrian, a man, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Enquiries are in the early stages and officers are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it to get in touch.
