Boy who died at Snowdome is named by police

12-year-old Louis Watkiss from Sutton Coldfield died at the Snow Dome in Tamworth on Friday night.

Police were called at 6.40pm on Friday 24th September to reports that a child had been seriously injured.

Staffordshire Police attended the leisure facility along with ambulance crews. Sadly, the 12-year-old died of his injuries shortly afterwards.

Louis’s family are being supported by specially-trained officers. 

Staffordshire Police is continuing to investigate the circumstances with support from the Health and Safety Executive.
