It happened on Saturday 1st February at a bookmakers.
Police are appealing for information following a robbery at a bookmakers in Birstall.
The incident happened on Saturday 1st February just before 8 o'clock in the evening at a business in Sibson Road when a man entered carrying a knife.
He demanded money from the staff member and made off with a quantity of cash.
No-one was injured.
The suspect is described as wearing a black coat, dark trousers and a black baseball cap. He was also wearing a black and brown scarf which was covering his face.
Detective Constable Balvinder Mahal, who is investigating the incident, said: “From enquiries carried out so far, we believe that the suspect made off on foot and a number of vehicles were passing the store as he ran off.
“If anyone in these cars saw this man and the direction he took, please get in contact.
“Any information the public has regarding this incident could prove helpful to our investigation so give us a call.”
