Leicestershire Trading Standards is informing residents about scam text messages being sent, purporting to be from the Department for Work and Pensions regarding Winter Fuel/Energy Allowance payments.
They have said that the text message contains a link which they understand leads to malicious websites and so they are advising residents not to click on the link if they have received this message.
